Singapore Zam Zam Restaurant

Original: Here

Heee, I had a great date with one of my closer friend aka gayfriend aunty wati(cool name) that day, and she brought me to this restaurant which caters very yummy Muslim food, the food there was indeed, thumbs up.

At first, when Aunty told me that she's gonna bring me to ZamZam, i thought what game she gonna introduce to me :P Haha.

Singapore ZamZam serves excellent Muslim food, a blend of Malay and Indian influences that are part of what makes Singapore such a culinary paradise. It has been in business since 1908 and is managed by a grandson of the founder. The prices are friendly, and the food is more than just good. Everything made is fresh and we had to wait for a few minutes before the food are served. There's Aircon dining available upstairs and hence we headed up, so that we can enjoy our food away from the searing heat of the stove. Oh and the portion is wow, more than normal places, but i finished the whole plate :P

My Sardine Murtabak.

We had the Mutabak *a stuffed pancake filled with eggs, onions, mutton (or some other meat)*. Aunty say that Zamzam sells the best murtabak in singapore, and it's well known already. I had the Sardine Murtabak while Aunty had the chicken Murtabak.
It was pretty tasty, yum :D

To add to the cultural experience, this place near the Masjid Sultan mosque, and the restaurant staff stops often for the call to prayer, which is an enchanting sight.

There's really nothing to complain here. A definite must-try if you happen to be in Bugis! I'm definitely gonna pay ZamZam another visit, and try their famous Briyani or otherwise, the Roti Prata :)
