Went to Foodrepublic with 7 of my friends that day...
I always like to dine at Food Republic as the food there, are really up to standard, that's what i personally feel. And i am rather proud to say that, 3 of out my 5 trips to FoodRepublic, i will queue for ThyeHong's Hokkien Mee, although the long queues put me off sometimes. The 7 of us queued up for the same thing...
The Hokkien Mee is sent into a coned shaped opeh leaf, with three medium sized prawns. The gravy or rather the stock was very tasty, and i like it. The noodles didnt turn out soggy and i can still taste the crunchy beansprouts.
The chilli was... i love it. Hee.
& we all love our hokkienmeeeeee~!

Have always wanted to try that! But the queue is a bit turn off. :P
i remembered how long the queue was when I was there. I'm sure the wait is worth it now. =)
I'm sure must be good. The suntec city's Food Republic version of this hokkien mee is very popular too. This is my favorite dish...I think I roughly know how they cook it...hehe
They boil the prawns and use the soup as gravy. Prawns are used to cook later. Add some sauce, oil and chilli to stir fry. Something like that lah..haha
food lover: haha, perhaps you should queue for one time first, lol. Then haha i guess next time you wont mind it alrd, for the sake of good food lol.

zhengning, no lah, i can't eat it anymore (allergy). Anyway, I saw how they cook at the open screen stall ;-)
